Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar is a Hindi TV series helmed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali along with Mitakshara Kumar and Vibhu Puri. It marks Bhansali’s first digital debut with Netflix which stars Sonakshi Sinha, Manisha Koirala, Huma Qureshi, Aditi Rao Hydari, Richa Chadda, Sanjeeda Sheikh, Sharmin Segal, Tarun Arora, and Paresh Pahuja. It is an epic, which tells the stories of courtesans and the hidden cultural reality of Heera Mandi, a dazzling district, of pre-Independent India. On the other hand, it is a pure historical drama, that highlights the life condition and political background of courtesans and their patrons during the 1940s. After creating a buzz on social media, the filmmaker Sanjay Bhansali unveiled the teaser of the web series on February 18, 2023. This is one of the much-anticipated series of filmmaker Sanjay Bhansali, who is best known for his iconic films like Khamoshi: The Musical, Black, Devdas, Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam, and Guzaarish.
